The Riverton Rescue Mission partnered with the Wyoming Rescue Mission (Casper) a 501(c)(3) nonprofit
We have thoroughly analyzed the results of the feasibility study. The data shows that opening shelter for Riverton is not feasible at this time due to lack of funding within the community and other capital campaigns happening within the community at this time. Please see prior post to have access to the feasibility study results for your own viewing.
At this time, we hope to continue to transport folks out to the warming shelter if we can get adequate drivers who are committed to helping.
We are going to continue to quietly brainstorm as a group to move forward.

We have been deep into our Feasibility Study with the reputable company DickersonBaker. They have had over 40 years helping nonprofits succeed.
We have analyzed hundreds of pages of data, sent over a hundred letters to community members, and made numerous phone calls.
The feasibility study is analyzing our community support available for a shelter for our unhoused neighbors, the building size needed, community outlook on our group, the areas for buildings, and more.
At this time, we are seeking community input regarding a shelter for Riverton. If you see yourself as a potential future donor, and would like to schedule a time to be interviewed by our consultant to share your opinions at this time, please reach out as soon as possible so we can put you on our list to contact. Our consultant will be here the last week of May for these interviews.
